Japanese watchmaker Seiko disclosed that the Black Cat ransomware gang was responsible for the earlier this year attack.
They seem to have let unauthorised parties into at least one of their servers. These parties are still unknown.
The group released samples of data that they said was taken from the firm network; these samples included projects of new watches and scans of passports.
Seiko declared that it had been the target of a Black Cat ransomware assault earlier in the year, in which private data about partners, customers, and employees had been compromised.
