SCAS NHS 111

NHS 111 targeted by the major cyber attack, hackers targeted Advanced, a firm that supplies software to 85 percent of NHS 111 services.

After a critical system was shut down by hackers thought to be affiliated with a hostile state, HS 111 staff members across the nation were forced to use pens and paper instead.

Along with the NHS's mental health services, which use the company's record management system, more than 1,000 care facilities that use its Caresys software have also been impacted.

They investigated the incident and took preventive steps to secure this in the future.
