An unauthorized external accessed the server of Saint Francis Health System that exposed patient information.
The data retrieved from the server looks to be a list of approximately 6,000 names and addresses.
The list does not include Social Security numbers, driver's licence numbers, or financial information.
The hospital shut down the server and discussed the situation with law enforcement before deciding not to comply with the cash demand.
