Sagent Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its network in February 2026. The incident affected 1,383 individuals across the U.S. and was reported to the Maine Attorney General and the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on April 24, 2026.
The breach was detected on or around February 11, 2026, with an investigation concluding on March 23, 2026. The company determined that sensitive personal information including full names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, state identification details, bank account information, and health insurance policy data may have been exposed.
On March 8, 2026, the threat actor Worldleaks claimed responsibility for the breach, posting on the dark web with threats to publish the stolen data within days.
In response, Sagent Pharmaceuticals is offering affected individuals a complimentary one-year membership in Equifax Credit Watch Gold, which includes credit monitoring, fraud alerts, and WebScan notifications for suspicious online activity.
