Revelstoke Mountaineer

After learning about data security vulnerabilities with the system, the City of Revelstoke stopped its emergency notification system.

The system notifies subscribers of a range of city communications, including emergency communications.

The city said that the system had been disabled due to security issues, and pointed those seeking emergency information to its website and social media accounts for the time being.

The city said it was in the process of changing to a new emergency notification system and would make an announcement when that system was in place.
