It appears that the Archdiocese of Cologne's website has been the target of a cyberattack. Only a portion of the site is currently usable.

The service provider reportedly informed the Archdiocese about the cyberattack, according to information from Radio Cologne.

For security purposes, the system was unplugged from the network. Therefore, a number of services and sections of the homepage are unavailable.

Who carried out the attack and when the website will be fully operational again are presently unknown.
