The confidential information of students at Life Sciences departmentof Queen's college was exposed in a data breach incident after a Life Sciences program advisor inadvertently attached an Excel class list file containing the compromised information to an email sent out to all fourth-year Life Sciences students.
The exposed information included student GPAs, student names, student numbers, academic plans, and years of study.
The email was recalled immediately, and IT Services worked quickly to delete the email and attachment.
