American Federation of Musicians, Local 47

The California Office of the Attorney General reported that the American Federation of Musicians, Local 47 experienced a ransomware attack on June 26, 2023. The breach potentially exposed member and non-member information including names, addresses, Social Security Numbers, birthdates, membership passwords, and possibly credit card information and medical records. The breach was reported on July 7, 2023, and Local 47 is currently investigating the incident and collaborating with law enforcement.
