Poway Unified School District students in California suffered a data breach incident that exposed the personal info of 36,000 Poway USD students and their parents.

The incident compromised the medical information, home addresses, nicknames, birthdates, student grades, test scores, and parents’ sensitive occupations.

They raised a complaint with the district attorney’s office cited a violation of the “Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
