Police Service of Northern Ireland

A data breach 'of mammoth proportions' involving Northern Ireland's police has affected 1000 officers and non-commissioned personnel.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) workers' names, ranks, and other personal information are purportedly exposed in the significant breach, but not the officers' or civilians' home locations.

The data, which includes the last names of over 10,000 employees, was unintentionally released in response to a Freedom of Information request and seems to include every member of the force, from chief constable Simon Byrne on down.
