Point32Health

The second-largest insurer in the state had a debilitating cyber attack that not only caused months of business interruption but also severely damaged the insurance's finances.

Point32Health reported a $102.7 million operating loss on $4.8 billion in revenue for the six months that ended in June.

These results contrast with an operational loss of $25.8 million on $4.9 billion in revenue during the same period the year prior.

The most recent earnings essentially include the whole period of the ransomware assault and cyber security breach that severely disrupted operations at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, one of Point32's insurers, from mid-April through much of July.
