Point32Health

The Point32Health data breach, which may have exposed personal information like addresses, medical histories, and Social Security numbers of current and former Harvard Pilgrim Health Care policyholders, is being monitored by the Division of Insurance.

The insurance behemoth, which is Harvard Pilgrim's parent company, alerted its members earlier this week that it had discovered a ransomware incident last month and that it has since learned that patient data may have been stolen.

They also looked at how the corporation, healthcare professionals, and insurance users would be impacted by the data breach.

In order to offer consumers and providers with resources to mitigate adverse effects on credit or other financial ramifications of the breach, DOI has been in contact with Point32Health.
