PharMerica, a national pharmacy network, announced a data breach that resulted in the exposure of 5,815,591 people's personal information.
They immediately launched an internal inquiry after learning about the cybersecurity incident and hired cybersecurity consultants to look into and secure our computer systems.
The results of the inquiry showed that an unidentified third party had entered our computer systems, and that the event may have involved the theft of certain personal data from those systems.
The business is confident that the exposed data hasn't been utilized for fraud or identity theft.
