Recently, Perkins & Co. (“Perkins”) suffered a data breach stemming from a data security incident at a third-party company Netgain Technologies, Perkins used to store data on the cloud.
The compromised information included names, Social Security numbers, and financial account numbers.
Perkins & Co. then conducted its own investigation into the incident to determine the extent of the incident and sent out data breach letters to all individuals whose information was compromised.
