The Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services reported a recent incident involving its computer network.
The unauthorised user was able to gain the username and password of an authorised user revealed a potential security flaw in the computer network.
The unauthorised user asserted that no malicious behaviour, such as malware infection of the system, had been committed by them.
Investigators soon confirmed that no malware or viruses had been left on the computer and that no data had been encrypted.
Additionally, forensic specialists searched the dark web for any information pertaining to the PMHFOS data for this incident, but they were unsuccessful.
