The newspaper Paris Normandie has been unable to update its website and has seen its paper editions disrupted by this attack.
The newspaper tweeted its suffered, a cyberattack which affected all of our computer systems. As a result , the newspaper released a single regional edition, instead of the usual three editions during confinement.
Asked if it was a ransomware attack, the newspaper declined to comment further. But two journalists from the daily, who both requested anonymity, each confirmed that there had been a ransom demand.
