Oregon State University says a cybercriminal was able to access a server that’s part of the school’s online education program.
The exposed information contained email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses of some students and faculty.
However, OSU claims that no social security numbers were stolen in the incident. The university is assisting anyone affected and will provide free credit monitoring services.
According to OSU, the affected server is now operational with the precautions in place.
