OAIC, travel agency flight Centre suffered from a data breach incident after accidentally released personal information of an undisclosed number of its customers to third-party suppliers.

Although it claimed in a message to consumers that the hack contained "passport details," it has not specified how many users were affected or what personal information was exposed.

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner investigated the incident and provided 12 months of identity protection and credit monitoring, as well as funding for a credit report for those impacted.

Additionally, it stated that anyone who wanted to alter their passport would be reimbursed for all expenses up until December 31.
