The websites of the interior, health, justice and welfare under the Prime Minister's Office went down as they were targeted in cyber attack.
It was a massive and wide-scale distributed denial of service (DDos) attack that resulted in the failure of a number of Israeli government websites.
The National Cyber Directorate declared a state of emergency in order to study the extent of the damage and recover the access.
