Oconee County suffered a data breach after that the payroll service used by Oconee County, employees did not receive money placed into their bank accounts.
The compromise was limited to the payroll system, and the rest of the county's accounts were unaffected.
SLED and the FBI investigated the incident and the affected employees were later paid by cheque.
