Nucor

Nucor, one of the largest steel manufacturers in the United States, suffered a cyberattack that forced it to shut down parts of its operations. The company activated its incident response plan and brought in a third-party cybersecurity company to assist. It also notified law enforcement agencies and took affected systems offline to implement containment, remediation, or recovery measures. Although the company did not explicitly confirm it was a ransomware attack, the shutdown of operations and inaccessible phone lines suggest it may have been. No threat actors have claimed responsibility yet, and it is unclear if any sensitive data was compromised.
