The Mercury platform, part of Russia’s Federal State Information System for Veterinary Surveillance (VetIS), was taken offline earlier this week due to a cyberattack, causing supply disruptions for Russian dairy producers. The outage forced producers to revert to paper-based veterinary certificates, leading to logistical chaos and supply chain interruptions for major retailers. The attack halted parts of the supply chain as many retailers rely exclusively on electronic document management systems. The incident is the most severe to date, with restoration work expected to continue through the end of the week.
