Newcastle Grammar School

Newcastle Grammar School learned that they were the victim of a cyberattack by crooks.

When ransomware was utilized to encrypt and damage a portion of the school's IT network, school officials became aware of the attack.

To assist the school in repairing the broken network, an IT and forensics team was working remotely.

The incident has been looked into by the police and the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
