A cyberattack that infiltrated the City's email accounts led to a data breach, which the City of Philadelphia publicly reports.

In order to determine whose email accounts could be affected, the City of Philadelphia declared that it is performing a thorough manual and programmatic review.

Name, address, date of birth, social security number, and other contact details are examples of demographic data that may be exposed. Limited financial data, such as claims information, as well as medical data may also be disclosed.

In addition, the City is putting new administrative and technological security measures into place and examining its current policies and processes.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is among the authorities and regulators that are notified as well.
