NetLine Corp. Discloses Data Breach Exposing Sensitive Personal Information
NetLine Corp., a Massachusetts-based content syndication provider for business marketers, reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to a public-facing webserver. The incident occurred on April 20, 2026, when an unidentified threat actor breached the server and queried databases without authorization. NetLine detected the suspicious activity the next day and secured the affected system before launching an investigation.
By April 29, 2026, the company completed a review of the compromised databases, determining that exposed data may have included names, Social Security numbers, and Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers. The breach has been reported to the attorneys general offices of Maine and Vermont, though the responsible party remains unidentified.
In response, NetLine is offering affected individuals two years of free identity monitoring services through TransUnion. The company has also advised impacted parties to monitor financial accounts and credit reports for signs of fraud.
