The Maine Office of the Attorney General reported that the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners experienced a data breach due to an external system breach (hacking) between February 4, 2023, and February 13, 2023, affecting a total of 4,310 individuals, including 24 Rhode Island residents. The breach was discovered on January 4, 2024, and identity theft protection services including 12 months of Equifax Credit Monitoring were offered.
