Nassau OOGP Vision Group Data Breach Exposes Customer Information
On January 12, 2024, Nassau OOGP Vision Group a New Jersey-based ophthalmic goods distributor detected unauthorized access to its network by a third party. The company, which supplies contact lenses, lab services, and optical products, launched a forensic investigation and later confirmed that sensitive customer data tied to contact lens orders had been compromised.
The exposed information included names, shipping addresses, and prescription details. Nassau OOGP stated that Social Security numbers, financial data, and treatment records were not affected. The breach was formally reported to the California Attorney General’s office on February 12, 2026.
