The attack had an immediate negative impact on the NVC network's functionality, rendering the school's website unusable and disrupting its phone system and social media accounts.
NVC took the necessary steps to secure its network, reported the incident to law enforcement and launched an investigation into the incident.
Napa Valley College sent out data breach letters to all individuals whose information was compromised.
