Miami-Dade County Public Schools
Police in Florida have detained a high school student for alleged hacks that disrupted the remote learning system used by the Miami-Dade school district.
Attacks known as distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, which flood a network with internet data, had engulfed the school system.
According to reports, many students who attempted to sign in to My School Online encountered persistent please wait messages.
Edwin Lopez, the chief of police for that division, stated that he thought the student wasn't alone and that authorities are hunting for the others.
