International wholesale giant METRO suffered an infrastructure outages and store payment issues after it was targeted in a cyberattack.

IT outages affected stores in Austria, Germany, and France since at least October 17.

METRO's IT team immediately started a thorough investigation together with external experts to identify the cause of the interruption of services.
