MemberClose Reports Data Breach Impacting Sensitive Personal Information
MemberClose, a data management provider, disclosed a security breach to the Maine Attorney General after detecting unauthorized access to a cloud application on October 30, 2025. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party may have accessed and acquired sensitive personal data the day prior, on October 29, 2025.
The exposed information varies by individual but includes names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth. Following the breach, MemberClose conducted a review to identify affected parties and began mailing notification letters to impacted individuals. As part of the response, the company is offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those affected and has provided details of the compromised data in the notices filed with Maine authorities.
