MediaMarkt Deutschland

The German multinational company MediaMarkt suffered a ransomware attack on its IT infrastructure after which blocked its servers in several European countries.

The cyber-attack encrypted servers and workstations and disrupted IT services and triggered only products that were physically in the stores could be sold, preventing online refunds, collection and other services.

The company is working with internal and external experts to identify and analyse the damage.
