The Dortmund IT service provider Materna Information & Communications SE has fallen victim to a comprehensive cyber attack.
The provider's systems and services are temporarily restricted in availability for security reasons.
If the attack involves ransomware, the kind that has recently been affecting more and more businesses, it is yet unclear.
Additionally, as a preventative step, the incident was notified to the relevant data protection body. If data was taken is still a matter of debate.
