Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company suffered a data breach after an unauthorized party gained access to sensitive consumer information that had been entrusted to the company.
The breach exposed the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, state identification numbers, and financial account information belonging to certain individuals including 1,472 Texas residents.
The attack might have affected a large number of U.S. citizens as MassMutual does business throughout the country.
However, the company sent the breach notice to the affected parties.
