Macmillan

Macmillan suffered a data breach after an unauthorized party was able to bypass its data security system and gain access to sensitive consumer information on the company’s computer system.

The breach compromised the consumer names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account information of about 1,193 victims.

Macmillan took all affected servers offline and began investigating the incident and sent out data breach letters to all affected parties.
