The Lyon County School District reported that they have been hit by hackers after a virus took down its systems.
The school district is working to restore its systems after the virus made its way into the network.
The cyber attack also took down services that were tied to the network, including the school district’s phone lines.
Workman declined to comment on whether Lyon County received a ransom demand as part of the hack, citing an investigation by its insurance company and the FBI.
