Los Angeles Unified School District

As schools become more vulnerable to cyber attacks, a ransomware attack on the massive Los Angeles school district resulted in an unprecedented shutdown of its computer systems.

26 U.S. school districts including Los Angele and 24 colleges and universities were targeted by this ransomware.

The district intends to conduct a forensic investigation into the incident to determine what can be done to stop further intrusions.
