Lincoln College

Lincoln College, a liberal-arts school from rural Illinois, is about to get closed after it suffered a ransomware attack in December 2021.

The attack disrupted its admissions activities and hindered access to all institutional data, creating an unclear picture of Fall 2022 enrollment projections.

It also left all systems required for recruitment, retention, and fundraising efforts were inoperable which resulted in a significant enrollment shortfalls.
