LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services

LifeLabs suffered a cyber security attack involving unauthorized access to its computer systems.

The company said affected the personal information of approximately 15 million LifeLab customers, primarily in Ontario and BC.

The information included names, addresses, emails, customer logins and passwords, health card numbers and lab tests.

LifeLabs released an open letter to its customers, detailing the incident and outlining steps it said it has taken to prevent these types of situations in the future.
