Lee County Emergency Medical Services suffered a data breach after a previous third-party vendor, Intermedix Corporation, responsible for ambulance billing services revealed some of its data.

Less than 2% of all the records the firm handled were compromised in the attack.

However, the company hired a law firm called Smith, Gambrell & Russell to handle the incident.
