Lakeside Pediatrics Data Breach Exposes Sensitive Patient Information
Lakeside Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, a pediatric practice in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, suffered a data breach in November 2024 when an unauthorized party accessed its computer systems. The incident was detected and contained, but a forensic investigation later revealed that sensitive patient data may have been accessed or copied.
The breach, disclosed on December 26, 2025, exposed personally identifiable information, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, health insurance details, and medical records. At least 1,314 individuals in Washington state were affected. Lakeside Pediatrics reported the incident to the Washington Attorney General’s office on February 27, 2026, and posted a public notice on its website.
