Kubota North America Discloses Data Breach Affecting Employee Records

Kubota North America Corp., a machinery manufacturer based in Grapevine, Texas, recently reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to sensitive employee records. The incident occurred between March 16 and April 20, 2026, when an unauthorized party infiltrated certain network systems. The breach was discovered on April 30, 2026, after the company detected unauthorized access to files maintained by its human resources team.

Following an internal review, Kubota determined on June 16, 2026, that the compromised files contained personally identifiable information (PII) of affected individuals. The exposed data varied by employee but may have included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, taxpayer identification numbers, driver’s license or government-issued ID numbers, financial account details for direct deposit, and corporate payment card information. For those enrolled in the company’s benefits plan, enrollment and limited claims data may also have been accessed.

Kubota disclosed the breach to the attorneys general offices of California and Massachusetts on June 30, 2026, and published a notice on its website. In response, the company is offering complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll to impacted individuals. Affected employees can enroll using a membership number provided in their notification letter, with a dedicated helpline (844-959-7144) available for further assistance.
