Juventus Football Club Reports Data Breach Affecting Event Photo Archive
Juventus Football Club disclosed a data breach involving an external sub-supplier responsible for photographic services at club-organized events. The incident, detected recently, did not compromise Juventus’ internal IT systems, which remain secure and operational.
The breach exposed an archive of images taken at sporting events between July 2023 and December 2025, including photos of attendees among them minors. While there is currently no evidence of misuse, Juventus acknowledged the potential for unauthorized exploitation of the images as a precautionary measure.
Upon discovery, the club launched an investigation, notified the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) in compliance with GDPR, and directed the sub-supplier to implement containment steps, such as isolating affected devices and resetting access credentials.
Juventus issued the statement to ensure transparency, given the high number of participants including vulnerable groups potentially impacted. The club has provided dedicated contact channels for further inquiries.
