Jeremy Spinks and Jelly Bean Communications Design LLC (Jelly Bean) have agreed to pay $293,771 to settle False Claims Act claims that they failed to protect personal data on a federally sponsored website for Florida children's health insurance that Jelly Bean designed, hosted, and maintained.

3.5 million insurance provider customers were apparently impacted by the incident. The vendor had been compromised for seven years because they had neglected to fix vulnerabilities, according to the breach probe.
