Internap fell victim to a ransomware attack on September 28, 2022, which affected some of its services and made them not recoverable.

The attack affected its multitenant website, database, and email hosting services.

They were trying to recover from the attack by re-creating the affected services on a bare metal server and uploading the data from the local copies if available.
