Illinois Valley Community College

Illinois Valley Community College

The servers at Illinois Valley Community College went down. It took place shortly after COVID-19 shut down the campus and moved all of the classes online.

The college's own networks were compromised by hackers. That led to the failure of its email and website systems.

The hackers placed a ransom note in the directory where the files should be.

The company said that they were able to recover the majority of their data as well as the main servers that housed all of the student data, course registration information, and other things of that nature.
