IHG Hotels & Resorts

The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHGmore )'s then 1,200 hotels were the focus of a three-month malware campaign that sought out client credit card information.

The compromised information includes the name as well as the card number, expiration date, and internal verification code – by reading the magnetic stripe of payment cards as they were being routed through the affected hotel server.

IHG took preventive steps and secured customer payment card data.
