Ignitis Group, one of the largest energy companies in the Baltic states, experienced its most significant cyber-attack in a decade, attributed to the pro-Russian hacking group, Killnet. The attack involved numerous distributed denial of service (DDoS) assaults, disrupting the company's digital services and websites. Despite the efforts to manage and limit the impact, with no breaches recorded, the attack's continuity was confirmed. This cyber onslaught came amid a series of attacks on Lithuanian institutions and businesses, following the enforcement of EU sanctions on goods traveling to Kaliningrad. The company's response included coordination with authorities and efforts to maintain and eventually enhance the resilience of its digital infrastructure.
