A cyber attack has taken the Harz University of Applied Sciences down.

All IT systems were turned off as a safety measure after irregularities.

The systems were to be relaunched piecemeal, starting with the homepage, moving on to the email system, and so forth.

The spokesperson cited the fact that other German colleges had already been impacted by similar cyberattacks.
