Hillsborough County
The Hillsborough County Supervisors of Elections Office experienced an unlawful data breach, according to an inquiry.
More than 50,000 people's voter information was discovered to have been exposed in the incident.
The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office stated in a news release that it appeared an unauthorised user had illegally accessed and copied files containing personal identity data, such as social security or driver's licence numbers.
The user was able to compile the data from the files required to maintain the voter registration list.
